How to connect to your site remotely in IIS Manager

All of our hosting accounts include the ability to manage your websites settings directly on the web server with IIS Manager for Remote Administration.

If you want to do that then you need to enable it first in our control panel:

  • Login to your hosting control panel.
  • Click Web Sites.
  • Click the web site name you are working with.
  • Click Management.
  • Enter a username and password and click Enable.
  • Now open up IIS Manager for Remote Administration on your PC.
  • Click File > Connect To a Site
  • Enter the server name as displayed under Management in your control panel as above. remove the https:// part shown, you just need the hostname (e.g. "wsuk4.pronameserver.com").
  • Enter the Sitename as displayed under Management in your control panel as above.
  • Enter your Username and Password you chose for IIS Management in the steps above.
  • Enter a Connection Name and click Next.
  • Your now connected to your web sites IIS settings.
