I received an email from ICANN - "Important Notice Regarding Your Domain Name(s)."

Each year the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) sends out an email to all registrants of their domain names (.com, .net, .gov etc).

The Whois Data Reminder Policy or WDRP is a consensus policy adopted by ICANN, which requires domain name registrants to review the contact information associated with their domain names and make corrections when necessary. As a part of this, domain name registrars are required to formally remind their customers once a year to review and update their contact information.

Therefore if you receive an email from us that has ICANNS signature in it and has the subject "Important Notice Regarding Your Domain Name(s)", then this is a legitimate email. The email will remind you that its a requirement to keep your registration contact details up to date.
