How do I transfer my domain name registration to Winserve?

To transfer UK domains to us (.co.uk , .org.uk etc):

Our IPS Tag is "YEMALTD" (no quotes). You need to ask your current registrar to change the IPS tag of your UK domains to that tag. Many registrars will have a control panel on their website that allows you to do that.

Once the domain is on our IPS Tag then login to your billing area at https://portal.winserve.co.uk . Once logged in:

  • Click Register Domains
  • Select "I want to transfer my domain to Winserve".
  • Enter your domain in the form.
  • Follow the order process through and complete the order.
  • Once complete the domain will show under your billing account and can be managed there.
  • There is no charge for transfering UK domains so the charge will be £0.

To move US level domains to us (.com, .net, org etc):

Login to your billing area at https://portal.winserve.co.uk . Once logged in:

  • Click Register Domains
  • Select "I want to transfer my domain to Winserve".
  • Enter your domain in the form.
  • Enter your EPP Code (transfer code). The EPP Code needs to be obtained from the current registrar.
  • Follow the order process through and complete the order.
  • When transfering in a US level domain you need to add one years registration to the domain, so you will be invoiced for one years registration at our current prices.
  • Once complete the domain will show under your billing account and can be managed there.

Notes regarding US lvl domain transfers:

  • Transfer verification must be made to the gaining registrar by the domain’s administrative contact. This means an email will be sent by the registry to the Admin contact on the domains WHOIS record. That email must be read and the intructions followed to approve the domain transfer. If this is not done the transfer will fail.
  • The domain must be at least 60 days old.
  • The domain must be in “ACTIVE or OK” status (e.g. not locked at the current registrar).
  • If a domain is transferred between registrars, ICANN's Transfer Policy states no re-transfer of the domain is permitted for 60 days from the date the transfer was complete, except in the case of dispute or legal proceedings.
