What are the connection details for my MS SQL database?

To find the server hostname of your MS SQL database please follow the guide below:

  • Login to your hosting control panel.
  • Click the MS SQL database version your working with under the Databases icons.
  • Click the database name you want to connect to from the list.
  • The database servers hostname will be shown on the screen.

Use that server name along with the username and password you created for the database to connect from your website scripts or local management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio.
